Today marks the start of “Usui”

Today marks the start of “Usui,” one of the 24 solar terms!

The calendar divides the year into six parts: spring, summer, autumn, winter, and winter.

The second of these is “Usui,” the spring season.
Risshun → Usui → Keichitsu → Syunbun → Seimei → Kokuu

The next 24 solar terms are
Keichitsu” on March 5th.

■ Usui
The time when falling snow turns to rain and the snow begins to melt.

■ Seventy-two weather patterns
A calendar that further divides the 24 seasonal divisions into three.

•First weather, around 19~23
The earth’s pulse begins to moisten
The cold snow replaces the spring rain to moisten the earth.

•Next weather: 24~28 days
The first clouds of mist begin to flutter
When distant mountains and scenery begin to blur due to fog and mist.

•Last weather: 1~4 days
The grass and trees begin to sprout.
When you can see the buds on the tips of plants and trees turning slightly red.

When I look at the trees in my garden, before I know it, there are tiny buds on the tips of all the branches, as if to say, “They will swell up any time.

It’s the time of the year when it’s cold, but it’s also the time of the year when it’s warm, so take care of yourself as the seasons change 😷
