February 19 is “Usui 雨水” in the 24 solar terms calendar.

◾️ 二十四節気 : The 24 solar terms

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The calendar divides spring, summer, fall, and winter into six seasons.
4 x 6 = 24

24 seasonal divisions of spring
立春 (Risshun) → 雨水 (Usui) → 啓蟄 (Keichitsu) → 春分 (Shunbun):Vernal Equinox → 晴明 (Seimei) → 穀雨 (Kokuyu)

◾️ 雨水 Usui
The time when snow changes to rain and melting of snow begins.

The next 24th day of the month is “Keichitsu” on March 5.

A calendar that divides the 24 solar terms into three more
24 x 3 = 72

・The first season (February 19 to 23)
土脉潤起 Tsuti no Sho Uruoi Okoru
Cold snow replaces warm rain, moistening the earth.

霞始靆 Kasumi Hajimete Tanabiku
Fog and mist begin to appear.
