◾️二十四節気/ nijushisekki: 24 solar terms

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.
The calendar divides spring, summer, fall, and winter into six seasons.
4 x 6 = 24

24 seasonal divisions of spring
立春 (Risshun) → 雨水(Usui) → 啓蟄(Keichitsu) → 春分(Shunbun) Vernal Equinox → 晴明(Seimei) → 穀雨(Kokuyu)

◾️啓蟄 Keichitsu
The time when creatures that have been hibernating in the ground for the winter awaken.

The next 24th day of the lunar calendar is March 20, “Shun bun” (春分).

A calendar that divides the 24 solar ter  cbcms into 3 parts.
24 x 3 = 72

The first season (around March 5 to 10)
蟄虫啓戸 sugomorimushi towo hiraku
Insects that have been hibernating in the ground begin to emerge from their hibernation under the warm spring sun.
Insects are all living things awakening from hibernation.

The next season from the 11th to the 15th
桃始笑 momo hajimete saku
Around the time when peach blossoms begin to bloom.
In the old days, the word “bloom” was expressed as “laugh.

The last season: From the 16th to the 19th
菜虫化蝶 namushi cho to naru
The time when a caterpillar becomes a chrysalis, hatches, and is reborn as a butterfly.
Caterpillars are caterpillars.
