Today is ” 処暑 SHOSHO “

Today is the 24th day of the 24 solar terms, “処暑 SHOSHO ”

The calendar divides the year into six seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter, and winter.

■ 二十四節気 Nizyusisekki of Autumn
立秋 Risshu → 処暑 Shosho → 白露 Hakuro → 秋分 Shubun(Autumn equinox )→ 寒露 Kanro →  霜降 Soko

The next 24 Sekki (二十四節気 Nizyusisekki ) is “白露 Hakuro ” on September 8!

■ 処暑 Shosho
When the severe heat passes over, the mornings and evenings become cooler, and the sound of insects can be heard.

■ 七十二候 Shitizyuniko (The 72 seasons)
A calendar that further divides the 24 solar terms into three parts.

・The first season (around 23~27)
綿柎開 watano hanashibe hiraku
The time when the sepals of cotton open and fluffy cotton hairs start to fly out from the inside.

・The next season, from 28th to 1st
天地始粛 tennchi hajimete samushi
Around the time when the heat finally subsides

・The last weather season is from 2 to 7 days.
禾乃登 kokumono sunawachi minoru
Around the time when ears of rice are getting heavier day by day

Although the daytime heat still lingers on
But it does feel a little cooler in the evenings.
