The calendar divides the year
The calendar further divides the year into 6 parts: spring, summer, autumn, winter, and winter.
二十四節気:Nijishisekki of Spring
立春 Risshun → 雨水 Usui → 啓蟄 Keichitsu → 春分 Shunbun : Vernal Equinox → 晴明 Seimei → 穀雨 Kokuu
■ 穀雨 Kokuu
It is said that spring rain moistens 100 grains, and it is around the time when the grains are moistly showered with blessings from the heavens.
The fields moistened by the rain are in good season for sowing seeds and are used as a guide for agricultural work.
The next 24th solar term is 立夏 “Rikka” on May 6, which marks the beginning of summer according to the calendar!
■ 七十二候 Shichijuniko : The 72 solar terms
A calendar that further divides the 24 solar terms into three parts.
The first season is from around 20th to 24th.
葭始生 Ashi hajimete shozu
Around the time when reeds begin to grow along the water’s edge
It begins to shine all over the green
The next weather around 25~29th

Around the time when frost ceases to fall and seedlings begin to grow
The last season: around 30th~5th
