Today is the first day of “Kanro 寒露” on the 24 solar terms calendar.

■ 24 solar terms   二十四節気(nijushisekki)

The calendar divides the year into four seasons
The calendar further divides the year into 6 parts: spring, summer, autumn, winter, and winter.
4 x 6 = 24

Twenty-four solar terms in autumn
Risshu 立秋 → Shosho 処暑 → Hakuro 白露 → Autumnal equinox : Shubun 秋分→ Kanro 寒露 → Soko 霜降

■ Kanro 寒露
The time when the nights are getting longer and the dew feels biting.
The mornings and evenings become cooler, and the days when the air is clearer increase.

The next 24th day of the month is October 24th, “Soko 霜降”.

■ The 72 solar terms  七十二候(shichijuniko)
A calendar that divides the 24 solar terms into three parts.

The first season (around 8th~12th)
鴻雁来 Kogan kitaru
